The first major event, held in 2017, featured a panel discussion with leading women in business, including Kristy Chong from Modi Body. The event was a success, complete with an onsite crèche to ensure children were well cared for while mums engaged in meaningful networking and learning.

The following year, the event scaled up significantly, moving to the International Convention Centre. This expansion marked the official birth of Be MPowered, a conference that not only provided valuable content and networking opportunities but also included amenities like professional headshots, kids’ entertainment, and sessions scheduled during school hours to accommodate the drop-off and pick-up juggle.
