I'm Carrie Kwan and the co-founder of Mums & Co. Let me extend a warm welcome to the Mums & Co family and tell you a little about what to expect.

Across Australia there are hundreds of thousands of small businesses run by mums. When you're doing it alone, despite the help of family and friends, it isn't easy. And when you're doing it whilst raising a family it's even tougher.

That's where Mums & Co comes in.

Our vision is to inspire women to realise success in their businesses and their lives by creating Australia’s most connected and empowered community of mums in business.

We're backing you by enabling access to tools and resources to accelerate your ambitions whether you’re thinking of going into business, in start-up mode, growing or established, at the same time as looking after your family and yourself.

We're backing you by connecting you to a network of thousands that are courageous, supportive and like-minded. To encourage you along your journey, and provide a forum where we can network, make things happen and learn from each other.

We're backing you by empowering our community through advocacy on the issues that count. Our efforts are focused on helping you save time, save money, being more productive, finding more family-friendly ways of working and opening up easier ways of doing business. We can do this as we’ve also got the financial security, strength and scale that comes from being part of Australia’s largest general insurer IAG.

We hope to shake things up for mums in business and be a collective amplified voice for change, action and support when it’s needed.

My team and I are incredibly proud to launch the Mums & Co website this June and encourage you to take a look around. There are four areas of the site:

• INSIGHT - tips, advice and stories written by subject matter experts and experienced writers.
• PERKS - exclusive deals on everything from postage to technology.
• CONNECT - a forum for asking questions and receiving answers from other users in the community.
• CONCIERGE - a range of insurance and specialist services that help support and balance the demands of family and business.
