Tell us about you
I’m a mum of two young boys and the founder of a boutique interior design studio. Like many women balancing business and family, my days are a constant blend of creativity, deadlines, school runs, and snack negotiations. It’s not always neat or easy, but I’ve learnt to embrace the chaos with humour, resilience, and a strong coffee.
Describe your biz in a sentence
Crafting Meaningful Spaces. Curating Context, Identity, and Connection.
Tell us how your business came to be
I’ve always had a passion for interior design but often questioned whether I should start my own brand. After 20 years designing both internationally and in Australia, COVID gave me the space and the push to explore the entrepreneurial side of me. I was ready to create something that truly reflects my values, creativity and the kind of life I want to build for my family.
What has been one of your best business calls/decisions to date?
One of my best business decisions was seeking out opportunities that aligned with my passion and vision. I approached successful businesses and offered to design their showrooms and offices, not for profit but to build my brand. The trust and exposure that followed were more valuable than I imagined. I believe that opportunities are not handed to you, you have to create them.
What does your typical day look like?
Cook healthy breakfast for my kids while having the coffee machine running in the background. After dropping off kids to school, I fully immerse myself in my work until I have to pick them up again..
Your daily motto?
Opportunities are created by oneself.
What is something about running your business that you wish you had been told sooner?
Choose clients whose vision aligns with ours.
